This is my small trackday project car.I wanted to use my baleno (esteem)/Esteem hatch but things wouldn't work as good as i wanted cause here in Greece things are a bit weird around baleno (esteem) stuff!I decided to look for a Swift mk2.Cheap,many parts available and ultralighweight just like me,60 kgr is my weight Laughing
So before i start posting i 'll introduce you my lil' baby. The model series is a Swift mk2 AA35S fully modified to GTi.This also has another advantage over the GTi and that's body's weight which is lighter than the GTi.I bought the car for 800EUROS with stock engine and interior of mk3.As soon as i got back home i started throwing stuff. All carpeting was gone, plastic parts too, removed all electronics such as ECU etc.The car has absolutely nothing like A/C or power steering which makes it easier for me cause there are no weird fluid pumps or power losses ;) So,after removing the carpeting, tar papers etc the car was painted white and some days later with my best friend's help we started installing parts. The dashboard was back in each place and fully working, driver's seat was replaced by a MOMO RS-GT with a 6point Sabelt Harness, the co-driver seats with the OE bucket seat and a 3 point harness Twisted Evil Laughing ,steering wheel was replaced by a LICO FIA Approved deep dished sued steering, the OE gear knob was replaced from a Suzuki Sport white sphere knob, battery was relocated in the back of the driver, custom short shifter was installed, heater etc were fully removed, doors' covers also gone alongside with the spare wheel etc.The engine had new oil ENEOS 10/30 full synthetic oil, gearbox is stock but with some minor changes to help traction and withstand track enviroment and that means that the OE differential was replaced from a Suzuki Sport 1.5way differential, the OE clutch and cover were replaced with a Suzuki Sport 3pad metalic disk alongside with strengthen clutch cover and custom titanium push rod and the final gear from OE 4.1 was replaced with a custom built 4.35 and 85/90 Suzuki Sport gear oil inside.Radiotor was cleaned and installed again back on the car,the radiator cap was replaced by a Suzuki Sport 1.3bar Type-A cap.On the MAF was installed a custom made adaptor with an APEXi intake filter, plugs were replaced with Suzuki Sport #8,head gasket was replaced by a carbon-metalic 3 lair which helped increased compression from 9.5:1 -->10.5:1,also the stock flywheel was replaced with a ClutchMaster lightweight one, brake system is mostly stock with differences on high compression metalic brake lines from Goodridge, brake fluid is EBC,brake disks are stock, the stock brake pads are replaced with Dixcel Type Z on the front and Dixcel Type R01 on the rear(GTis have the same rear pads with Nissan Pulsar GTi N14 ;) ).We replaced the cam belt with a new one, tweeked the camshafts timing and avance, rev limiter from stock 7500 moved to 8500 with stock extractors but CAT,resonator box and back box all removed! The dyno run messured stock engine power 110hp@6990rpm and torque 13kgr@4525rpm.After pushing the engine a bit and with the minor mods mentioned above the second dyno run messured 125hp@6910rpm and 15.5kgr@4900rpm!Not bad from an almost stock engine! From footwork i run on 14s(!!!),14x6.5 on 185/55/14 ContinentalSportContact2,suspension mods are Koni Yellows all around with Zoom-Bane springs 30mm lowering front 35mm in the back. All other parts are stock! One my first run with the car i managed to make 3 best times in my category which was the baby tuned cars.Best time was 1:12:055,the time is nothing special but a Civic EG6 VTi was in the same category with me and was second and behind me with 3.5seconds difference!!!Other parts i want to install is a Monster Sport groupN1/A ECU,Monster Sport camshafts and timing gears,Roll Cage, upgrade the brakes more,HotBits RSI racing coilover, poly bushing all around,front-rear antisway bars, strut bars, some Suzuki Sport meters,15s with 15x7 wheels and Toyos R888 195/50/15,PFX400 filter, replace the valvetrain for better durability, new pistons and rods for more compression ~12.5-13.5,fuel regulator, fuel pump and fuel lines.
After this HUGE introduction, the pictures are following.I hope you like it and i DO want your comment or any questions you 'd like to ask are welcomed Very Happy
