Hey guys, I was forced to pick up a high performance clutch kit today. Mine was slipping a lot, & it was a challenge to get into the gears. i think I had reached the limits of what this setup could hold. i had the ACT pressure plate & a stock disc (at least that is what it looked like.)

i will be installing the new setup this weekend. It will be a new ACT Pressure plate & a 6 puck ceramic with spring clutch disc. That should have more holding power. here is a pic.

Not looking forward to doing it, but I have to. Also, after the clutch is done, I will be bumping the boost from 7psi to 9psi. Then I will take it back to the track to get some numbers.

Ok! It took almost all day, but the new clutch is finally in. Car feels really smooth again. I haven't felt it like this in years. I might shoot for the track on Wed. night to see what numbers I can put down.
When the old one came out, I found 2 breoken straps (out of 3)on the pressure plate. If you guys don,t know what straps are & you need me to post a pic. of it let me know. I also found my clutch master cyl. was almost dry, AGAIN Mad . I don't know why this keeps happening every 8 months or so. I found a sweating joint in the clutch line a bout 1 year ago & I tightened it. Don't know where the fluid is vanishing to Shocked
There was also a little oil/grease on the disc. It was a toxic mixture of events that made for tedious driving. But, at least its done. I can move on to other things now. Very Happy
